Alyssa Zavocki is a visual artist whose work delves into her relationship with femininity and the female experience. She grew up primarily in the South and received her BA from the University of West Florida in Studio Art and Communication. She uses wheel-thrown and sculptural ceramics to explore the interplay between her experiences as a woman and her environment. She uses the narrative imagery of quilts and other textiles to investigate this on both a personal and historical scale. During her time at the University of West Florida, Alyssa received numerous scholarships and awards, including "Best in Show" and the "Arrowmont Windgate Scholarship." In 2024, she was selected for the NCECA Student Juried Exhibition. Post-graduation, she worked as both a studio technician and workshop instructor at Jane’s Art Center in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Most recently was awarded the second-place crafter award at Ormond Beach Art in the Park festival. She also participated in the “The Woman’s Table” group exhibition at The Orlando Museum of Art in 2026. She currently resides in Bozeman, Montana, where she is pursuing her MFA at Montana State University.
