Frivolous Forms:

The female form is constantly forced to ride the line between function and form. Utilitarian at its core, our bodies are continually scrutinized and deemed sexual on command. I am drawn to the interplay between the utilitarian and the decorative in my wheel-thrown work. This series of jars seeks to challenge ideas of art versus craft by leaning into the frivolous nature of these forms.
